reputation, likes, dislikes & quirks
Reputation: In her world, as Duck Arima, she was merely a bumbling attempt at a ballet student. As Princess Tutu, she was the tragically fated light within a story. As a duck, she was merely a duck. She has little reputation to speak of, in any case.

Likes: Dancing, Prince Mythos' smile, Rue, Fakir, water, Pique and Lilie.

Dislikes: Unhappy endings, misery, scary or grumpy people.

Quirks: She flaps her arms like a bird attempting flight when flustered, waddles like a duck anytime she moves lethargically, and frequently has to fight saying 'quack' when startled. She is also extremely clumsy.
appearance
Duck Form - As a duck, she is soft, feathery, yellow and slightly less than a foot tall.

Human Form - As a human, she is always wearing a red pendant that dangles from her neck. Sometimes said pendant is hidden beneath her clothes, but if she's in human form, it's there. She is lithe, almost lanky, and is simultaneously clumsy and quick. She has almost no curves; there is only the slightest hint of femininity in her shape.

Princess Tutu Form - As Princess Tutu, she is the humanoid impression of a swan. The grace and speech she cannot normally lay claim to is apparent in this form which spawns from the assistance of a certain kind of power.
personality
Duck is a stubborn dreamer with an intense dislike of leaving things as they are if the situation seems too sad. "That's how things are" isn't a satisfactory answer to her. She honestly wants everyone to be happy and despite not being a highly intelligent young lady, she does her best to help those in need when she meets them. A lot of "normal" human behavior is still alien to her, but she is relatively quick to adapt. Despite these adaptations, however, Duck still finds it difficult to not act...well, like a duck. She frequently has to fight transformations and other problems because of it.

She is rather simplistic in nature; the most complicated of her feelings revolve around the day to day troubles of who she is and what she can do with what little she has. Issues of the moment tend to capture her attention entirely until reminded of a forgotten task. Simplistic, stubborn and genuine; she is a loyal if occasionally misguided friend with the best of intentions.

history
Once upon a time, there was an old man who wrote stories. Every story the old man wrote came to life because of the man's power. One day, the man died in the middle of a story he was writing. Stuck eternally in a battle with no available end, the evil Raven and the valiant Prince broke free of the story and wandered into the real world. After a great battle, the Prince took his blade and shattered his own heart to use to seal away the Raven forever. After that, the world went on...

Until a duck saw a Prince with a sad, sad smile dancing by her lake, and she was struck with adoration and a desire to dance with the prince and make him smile. So strong was this desire to see him smile that she wished for the chance to do it and took a mysterious old man's power to transform her into a human girl.

...But, as a human, she'd somehow always been a human girl, and always been at the ballet school that her Prince and two friends attended. It all made sense when she was a human that she'd always been human. A duck became a human, and the human became...Princess Tutu, once the Prince was in need.

After a series of struggles and pain and questioning fate, choice, and understanding others' true wishes, Princess Tutu succeeded both in avoiding her own fate and assisting the Prince finish once and for all in bringing the story to a proper finale that everyone (except the raven, perhaps) can accept.

Unable to maintain a human form after finishing her task, she was looked after by a friend who had gotten to know her during their adventures. Despite the end of the tale, her duck form seemed suspended in time, never aging past its duck state. It was like that that, two years later, a blonde angel approached her and asked her what her own desires are.
skills & misc.
Skills: Transformation Duck can take the form of a duck, human, or under specific circumstances, Princess Tutu.

Object Summoning From ballet fan to a bed of flowers soft enough to protect someone from a fall, Princess Tutu is capable of summoning or creating a variety of things with her dances. On one occasion she even created a boat that flew so that she could reach someone.

Magic Cancellation Though she has few abilities that lend themselves to combat, Princess Tutu has been able to cause walls (erected to keep her away) to fall away and winds to calm a path for her to cross.

Weapons: Duck doesn't really carry a weapon. At most, when Princess Tutu she can use a ballet fan to block weapons.

Mundane Talents: Running, swimming, getting along with other birds even while in human form.

Duck's Bedroom (Room ???): WHOOP.

General PERMISSIONS
[X] If I post an open and someone else already responded and it's vague enough, you can also respond to it. What I mean is, if Duck's in a thread that you could easily see happening twice in one week, or could be treated as two events that happened on the same day a few hours apart? I'm all for a second or third comment thread. Just comment directly to the thread.

[X] If an event is happening in a public location, I am usually fine with another character eavesdropping in or bumping into the situation. Usually. It's ok - accidentally doing so won't be an issue, I'll just politely ask if we could get you involved at a different moment, or if we could roleplay together at a different point instead of the one jumped on. Related to this...

[X] If it's in a private location such as someone's bedroom, a locked room in general, etc., then please don't jump in without asking me first. Most of the time I'm still fine with it; after all, Asgardians are bound to overhear things the others say sometimes when they all live together in a castle!
